I am running the Yorkshire Marathon in October and am taking the opportunity to raise some money for Shelter.
Training started on June 17th with a gentle 5 mile recovery run (after 15 miles the previous day).
Total mileage for June was 172 miles and in July 178 miles (including a few humid runs in Toronto during a visit to see my daughter).
I have managed to mix things up a bit by running a few races; a 5 miler, 2 10K’s, a 10 miler and 2 half marathons.
So far the operation to repair a dodgy ankle that was done last year has held up well to the test of increased mileage.
